Experience Only the Best of Endurance Racing: Le Man 24 Hours –15-16 June 2019
An exhilarating experience tailored for the ultimate fans of high-octane racing. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the most demanding automobile race in the world whilst also being the oldest sports car endurance race. This year will be the 87th running of the 24 Hour race, organised by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) who have held the race annually since 1923, it will take place on the 15th and 16th of June at the Circuit de la Sathe, Le Mans, France.
Since its inception, the race has grown to be one of the world’s most-watched sporting events, connecting tight racing with high speeds and endurance. Teams of three drivers compete to carry out the most laps of the 8.47-mile Circuit de la Sarthe in one full day.
The ACO was first founded in 1906, establishing itself as one of the oldest car clubs in the world. They are committed to maintaining this prestigious race at the forefront of innovative motorsport, in order to help build improved cars in the future.
The club has extended the Le Mans grid by two for next month’s race. Therefore, this year’s 62-car grid will be the largest ever le Mans 24 Hours field. It has risen from the 60-car maximum that had been in place since 2016, while the ’15 race had 56 cars. This year’s Le Mans event is set to stand apart, as it will also conclude the World Endurance Championship’s 2018-19 “super season”, which spans for more than 12 months.
